Dimuth Karunaratne gets recalled by Sri Lanka for the ODI series against Afghanistan.

Dimuth Karunaratne, a former captain of Sri Lanka, has been called up to the 50-over team for the forthcoming home series against Afghanistan. Karunaratne, who represented Sri Lanka in the 2019 ODI World Cup, hasn’t participated in the format in more than two years; his most recent game was in March 2021

His presence now suggests that Sri Lanka may have ambitions for him for the 2018 World Cup. After being included in the 16-man team, fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera, who has missed a lot of time due to injury and hasn’t played for Sri Lanka since 2023, also makes a comeback.
