Shafali Verma : Captain Under-19 Women's World Cup

The ICC Under-19 Women’s World Cup captain for India is Shafali Verma.

Shafali Verma, the star batter for the Indian women’s cricket team, has been named the tournament’s captain by the ICC. The All-India Women’s Selection Committee selected the India U19 Women’s squad for the ICC U19 Women’s World Cup and the upcoming bilateral away T20 series against South Africa U19, according to a statement from the BCCI.

16 teams will compete in the inaugural ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup, which will be held in South Africa from January 14 through January 29, 2023. South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, and Scotland are the other members of Group D. In the Super Six round, where teams are divided into two groups of six, the top three teams from each group advance.

The top two teams from each group will then advance to the semi-final matches, which will be held on January 27 at Potchefstroom’s JB Marks Oval. On January 29, the championship game will be held there.
